Most of my life I struggled with my symptoms of Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome (PCOS), without even knowing I had it. In 8th grade I got my first period and, until sophomore year of college, I never knew when it was going to come. Sometimes it came every few months, sometimes once a year, but it was always extremely heavy and quite painful. I also struggled with my weight, even though I was a fit young girl, who ate healthy food and played soccer 4 times a week. By sophomore year of college, I was sitting at 186 pounds and was a size 16. That year, I had a period 6 months after my last one and it was extremely painful. The whole week I felt nauseous and barely ate a thing. Desperate for a solution, feeling like my menstrual cycle should have stabilized after 6 years, I went to the doctor and was diagnosed with PCOS. The doctor wanted to put me on birth control, but I wanted a more permanent solution that didn't involve putting chemicals into my body.
That’s when I was able to talk with Kelly. She told me that I should try to avoid dairy and only eat natural/organic meat and dairy products to help with my PCOS. So I tried it! Within a month, a good majority of my symptoms were alleviated. I had my period on time and I was seeing other transformations in my body. I had more energy, less acne, and I was dropping excess pounds rapidly.
Over the course of two years I have stuck to my new diet. I have regular and normal periods, clearer skin, and I lost ~40 pounds. I know my diet has a great impact on my body because whenever I stray from it, my symptoms start to return. I feel great when I eat the food I am supposed to and I am so happy that I was able to heal myself without medication. Kelly’s advice was specific to my health problems and has transformed me into the healthy, vibrant, and beautiful person I always knew I should be. I am so blessed to have found her and heeded her professional advice. I am never going back to my old-self!
